Fire Trucks and More!

Below are the response vehicles used by the City of Eudora Fire Department.  Click on any picture for a larger image.

 

EMS 1251 is a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer.  It is used as a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) and is often the first EMS vehicle on scene.  The truck is equipped with medical gear for adult and pediatric emergencies.  This vehicle is taken home by one of the on-call EMT's who will respond direct to the scene. 

Engine 1231 is the first due fire engine for all fires, traffic accidents, and major medical calls.  It is 2000 E-One with a custom shortened chassis for handling Eudora's residential cul-de-sacs. 

EMS 1251

1200 is the command vehicle for the fire department.  This truck, a 2004 Ford Expedition, is used by the chief officer on call for the fire department.  It responds on all major events and carries equipment for coordinating fires and disasters.

Engine 1231

Squad 1271 is the fire department's brush truck.  The four wheel drive truck carries 250 gallons of water and responds on grass fires.  It is often pressed into service for use as a back-up or stand-by EMS vehicle.  Squad 1271 is a 2003 Ford F-350.  It seats five and carries both fire and medical gear.

Engine 1232 is the second due engine on car wrecks and fires.  It is used as a mutual aid engine for surrounding districts.  Engine 1232 is a 1987 Pearce Lance.  It's seating capacity of ten firefighters has earned it the nickname of "Tin Man".
